Rich in antioxidants, Feijoa is growing rapidly in demand throughout the world for its delicious, healthy qualities and versatility. In spring, pretty red flowers are followed by large, 3-7cm egg shaped fruit with a shiny green skin, with a taste and aroma of strawberry, lemon and passionfruit. As a tree specimen they have green leaves with a silvery reverse and produce spectacular purple, pink and white flowers which have delicious edible petals that can be use in sweets and drinks. Eat fruit when slightly soft.
Care: Ideal position would be in well drained, compost enriched soil in a sunny position.
