The fine lacy blue-green foliage has an aniseed flavour. Use fresh leaves with chicken, fish, potatoes, eggs, green salad, vegetables, stews, sauces, butters and vinegars. Seed harvested from plant can also be used in pickles, teas, cookies and bread. Flowers can be used in the same way as seeds. Chewing dill seeds will freshen your breath. These tasty herbs require well drained soils and should be fed regularly during the growing season.
