Pohlmans Onion Red Odourless is a short day variety, producing large 7-10 cm diameter flattened globes, with dark red skin and a soft white flesh with red rings. A very mild and sweet onion, it may also be picked young for bunching. Use raw in salads and salsa, or cook by barbecue and roasting. Onion has antibacterial and antifungal properties, and can help to reduce high cholesterol levels.
Care: These tasty vegetables prefer well drained soils and should be fed regularly during the growing season.
