These ornamental flowers are traditionally given on Mothers Day as they flower during Autumn and will continue to bring joy to our wonderful mothers well past the 8th May.
A member of the daisy family, Chrysanthemums consist of bunches of small flowers, injecting intense colour into any garden. Chrysanthemums are the ideal gift for the green and brown thumb mums alike, thriving on full sunlight and improved garden soil.
Chrysanthemums bloom in a variety of gorgeous colours, from a vibrant yellow through to a deep maroon and once they have been enjoyed inside in the pot can be transplanted to the garden.
To keep your Chrysanthemums looking fantastic all year round and to promote more flowers, remove all spent flowers and discoloured leaves and liquid fertilise fortnightly. After flowering, Chrysanthemums should be cut back to about 15cm high and nurtured with some slow release fertiliser.
