Pohlmans Sweet Corn Cobb & Co produces large, 21cm cobs that are filled to the end with kernels. For optimum flavour, sweet corn is ready to harvest when the silks have turned brown and the cobs stand out from the stem at about a 30 degree angle. Plant corn in blocks for more successful pollination. Pick cobs with a twisting downward action. Corn is regarded as one of the world’s healthiest foods. Rich in Vitamins B1, B2 and C, and starch, corn is also low in sodium and cholesterol free.
Care: These tasty vegetables prefer well drained soils and should be fed regularly during the growing season.
