Pohlmans Watermelon War Paint produces round, dark green fruit with large stripes, weighing 10-12kg. Flesh is bright red, very sweet and juicy with a fine texture. Fruit is ripe when the stem starts to brown off. Can be eaten fresh, in fruit salads, juiced and sorbets. A rich natural source of lycopene and a good source of Vitamin C.
Care: These tasty vegetables prefer well drained soils and should be fed regularly during the growing season. Water regularly, as this will help produce juicy melons.
